Apple employee Eat Well Challenge items (2023)

Apple sponsors challenges for their employees a few times each year. Employees who participate in company-sponsored events generally receive a printed card and a gift to celebrate the accomplishment of successfully completing the challenge.

This 2023 Eat Well Challenge included a card printed on heavy textured paper that reads:

“Savor the moment. Food, like life, is meant to be enjoyed. Sense, savor, and feel satisfied with all of life’s flavors and keep it fresh with this set of food storage containers. Seal in your healthy habits.”

The card measures 4.75 x 3.25 inches.

Employees who successfully completed the challenge received a set of food storage containers packed in this white logo box. I do not (yet) have the containers, but my collection includes the custom box and card.

Lanyard (black, white circle logo, black clip)

This Apple lanyard is all black with a breakaway neck strap and an integrated clip. A white Apple logo is placed above the clip in circular plastic housing that allows the lanyard to be adjusted.

The breakaway strap bears the manufacturer name SnugZ-USA. As of 2023, the company still exists at snugzusa.com, and their website indicates that, “Since 1989, SnugZ has always been committed to providing an exceptional customer experience and producing high quality products for their customers.” Although they appear to have over 100 lanyard designs, this exact design no longer appears to be available.

Notecards (white, embossed Apple logo with black stripe, c. 2000)

This set of white notecards measures 4.25 x 6 inches and features a 3-inch tall embossed Apple logo on the front center. The front of the notecard is cut one-half inch shorter than the card and a solid black stripe detail is printed along the bottom of the card on the inside.

This set of white notecards measures 5.5 x 4.25 inches and features a 1-inch embossed Apple logo on the front center. The front of the notecard is bordered by a one.half-inch embossed border.

Pen (graphite, white logo, c. 2020)

This translucent gray pen is reminiscent of Apple’s “graphite” color first used in the iMac DV SE in Summer 2000. It features a white Apple logo at the top of the barrel.

The pen has silver aluminum accents and features a clip.

Apple Logo Notepad (c. 2020)

This white 5 × 7-inch note pad features a top-centered gray Apple logo and gray lines. The pad is approximately 5/16-inch thick. I have two of these note pads in my collection.

Apple environmental logo t-shirt (green, XL, 2022)

This bright green t-shirt features Apple’s environmental logo that has been featured in Apple Stores, often as a part of Earth Day recognitions. The logo features a white Apple logo with a green leaf. This t-shirt was given to Apple retail store employees in 2022.

In 2020 Apple reached a major environmental milestone when they reported that their facilities were carbon neutral—and they further state the goal that “By 2030, all our products will be too.” In 2022, Lisa Jackson, Vice President, Environment, Policy & Social Initiatives, wrote:

“In a year where the technology we make touched more lives than ever, teams across Apple never stopped innovating to protect the planet. Whether it’s using more recycled materials in our products, or transitioning our supply chain to 100 percent clean energy, there is no part of Apple this work does not reach.”

This t-shirt is size XL and is printed in the tag area with “100% Recycled Cotton” and “Made in Vietnam.” The shirt is in its original packaging.
