Black corduroy cap with multicolor Apple logo (c. 1990)

This black corduroy cap features a large multicolor Apple logo embroidered on the front center. The cap was manufactured by Cali-fame (Los Angeles, CA) and includes a plastic adjustable strap.

According to the Cali Fame website:

“Cali Fame of Los Angles began as ‘Chicago Hat Company,’ manufacturing dress, sport, military and athletic wear. The name was changed to “Cali Fame of Los Angeles” in 1946 when the company moved from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles, California.”

The company still exists and manufactures athletic wear.

This multicolor Apple logo pin is cast in gold metal and printed with the 6-color Apple logo. The pin is roughly in the shape of Apple’s classic logo and measures 15mm x 17mm.

The back of the lapel pin uses a protruding perpendicular pin with a butterfly clutch to secure the pin to clothing.

These pins may have been intended to be used as earrings, but they lack earring backs.

Pen (black, gold logo, c. 1995)

This pen features a gold-printed Apple logo and the Apple logotype printed in the Apple Garamond font, Apple’s corporate font of the time. The pen is accented in gold.

My collection includes a similar pen with the FileMaker logo. FileMaker is now known as Claris, an Apple company.

Pen (dark gray spring, black Apple logo, c. 1990)

This uniquely designed pen has a dark-gray spring barrel with white plastic accents. The clip is printed with a black Apple logo.

I have another pen in my collection of the same style, but it has a blue Claris logo printed on the clip. Claris is a software company owned by Apple.

Thin leather wallet with gold logo (c. 1990)

This thin leather wallet measures 2 9/16 inches x 4 1/16 inches. Each side of the wallet has a pocket that is sized to hold a business card or credit card.

The front of the wallet features a cut-out of the Apple logo and a piece of gold-colored “brushed” metal is behind the logo, making the logo appear gold.

The Macintosh Sale button (c. 1990)

This square button is pale blue with black print and measures 2.125 inches square. The back of the button is black and has a pin.

The top of the button reads “The Macintosh Sale” in the Apple Garamond font used at the time with a black Apple logo. The lower button design shows the word “Sale” in a treatment stylized to appear like a selected menu item on the classic Macintosh operating system. The arrow cursor is pointing to “Sale” and a US $ (dollar sign) is positioned to the right (where a “shortcut” is normally placed in the menu).

The dollar sign is in a digitized version of the Geneva font (a convention that did not match the design implied by the button).

Plastic bag with red logo (c. 1990)

This white plastic bag is likely from before Apple Stores existed and was likely used at conference booths in the late 1980s to 1990s.

It measures 15 x 10.5 inches and includes a handle. A large red Apple logo is printed on one side.

My-T-Pocket card-sized personal organizer (c. 1990)

This unusual item, a “My-T-Pocket card-sized personal organizer,” features a gold-colored Apple logo and several tools.

Four removable tools include:

  • Cutter (snap-off blades)
  • Ball-point pen (telescoping pen)
  • Stapler
  • Clips & staples (compartment containing mini-staples and gold-color mini-paper clips)

The device also includes a tape measure and a multi-function solar-powered calculator.

Each of the tools is labeled on the device and described in the manual.

The device is protected by a vinyl case and a 7-panel manual describes its various features in English, French, German, and Chinese. It was manufactured by Design Factory and its model number was DF-7.

The My-T-Pocket card-sized personal organizer measures 2.25 inches x 3.5 inches, approximately the size of a credit card, and is 0.5 inch thick.

Multicolor logo sticker sheets (1986)

These two incomplete sticker sheets feature multiple multicolor Apple logo stickers. Each sheet measures 9 x 6 inches.

Each sheet has four different size logos that are die cut. Due to the “bleed” design of each sticker, the logos appear disproportional until removed from the sheet.

Unfortunately, neither of the sheets are complete and both have stickers removed.

The sticker sheets are dated 1986.
