This collection of plastic BIC pens are in orange, blue, and purple with white accents. Each has a white Apple logo.
These are among several unique Apple-logo products that were available at “The Company Store @ Apple” located in the Infinite Loop Campus (in the 1 Infinite Loop building). When Apple began moving to the Main (“spaceship”) Campus at Apple Park, a new Visitor Center was built near the new campus and The Company Store was closed and replaced by more standard Apple Store.
This mechanical pencil is in its original linen-textured, cylindrical packaging. An Internet search reveals that it contains a matte silver 0.7 mm Retro 51 Hex-O-Matic mechanical pencil. The pencil is hexagonally shaped in the center, and the top and bottom are textured.
This matte silver capped pen features a translucent green accent (and interior). It is printed in black with an Apple logo and the URL www.apple.com/training in the Apple Garamond font (Apple’s corporate font from 1984–2003).
This gloss black pen features a textured metal grip area in the center and has chrome accents. The Apple logo is chrome-colored and the pen includes a stylus at the top.
This pen is matte silver with the words Executive Briefing Program printed in black in the Myriad Apple font.
Apple maintains a few Executive Briefing Centers worldwide for the purpose of hosting current and potential customers to discuss and provide training on Apple products and services. One Executive Briefing Center is located in Cupertino, California, at Apple’s main campus (formerly Infinite Loop, now at the main “spaceship” campus), and another is located in Chicago’s Loop, overlooking the Apple Store at Michigan Avenue on the riverfront.
Apple sometimes provides Briefing Center attendees with pens and/or notebooks, depending upon the nature of the meeting.
This set of retractable translucent pens was available in gray, purple, green, and red. The pens have matte silver accents, a white Apple logo, and are printed with the URL www.apple.com/education in the Apple Garamond font (Apple’s corporate font from approximately 1984–2003).
The pens measure 5.25 inches long.
I have acquired several of these pens over the years, and I believe I now have all the available colors in this design. These same pens were also offered printed with just a white Apple logo (no URL).
This translucent gray pen has matte silver accents and a white Apple logo. It is also printed with the URL apple.com/ali/newhampshire in the Apple Garamond font (Apple’s corporate font from 1984–2003).
Although the webpage is no longer active, the “ali” part of the web address refers to the now-defunct Apple Learning Interchange. Education World described the Apple Learning Interchange as “an Internet community for K-12 educators with a large and participatory membership. Apple has gathered databases of lesson-planning units, Internet resources, and Internet-based projects. Also included are discussion forums and chat rooms for educators.”
MacRumors reported that the Apple Learning Interchange shut down in 2010, quoting an inactive Apple link: “For years the Apple Learning Interchange (ALI) has served as an important resource for educators to access great education content, share best practices, and learn more about using technology in the context of teaching and learning. Over the last three years, iTunes U in the iTunes Store has grown to be an even larger education resource.”
This barrel-shaped pen is translucent kelly green with a white logo and matte silver accents. I have two of these in my collection, sealed in the original packaging.
