Welcome to the new mattjfuller.com!
Every few years, I update my web presence, and for this iteration I decided to use WordPress. The site won’t be completed all at once. Instead, I’ll move over information a little at a time and use the blog for anything that cannot be conveyed on Facebook or Twitter.
Here’s a bit of history on mattjfuller.com:
I have maintained a personal website since December 10, 1996. At that time I began the site the now-defunct personal web page service Geocities. Internet Archive has a saved version of the text of my site from January 17, 1999 (with several other versions also available): www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/3101.
In 2001 I purchased the domain mattjfuller.com and the site was hosted by Net Results, a small company in Chicago’s south suburbs.
Sometime in 2008, I moved www.mattjfuller.com to Apple using their retired MobileMe service. While on MobileMe, I used Apple’s iWeb web design software that was a part of the iLife suite for Mac. The MobileMe web hosting service was discontinued on June 31, 2012.
In 2012 I moved my site at GoDaddy.com. I continued to use iWeb to design the site until May 2016.
Over the years, I have used several website development tools to create and maintain my sites including HTML in a text editor, Claris Home Page, Macromedia/Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe ImageReady, Apple iPhoto, Apple iWeb, and others. I now use the features of WordPress to maintain my site online.
Some of my old content is still available, at least for now:
